My name is Cindy Lineberger, and I’m a Licensed Therapist, Certified Integrative Mental Health Professional (CIMHP), Certified Mindfulness Informed Professional (CMIP), and Certified Sex Therapy Informed Professional (CSTIP). I specialize in helping women improve their mental health, sexual wellness, and overall well-being.
With lived experience and professional expertise, I understand the challenges women face, especially those dealing with high-functioning anxiety, unworthiness, perfectionism, painful sex (vaginismus), and intimacy issues related to chronic illness. My approach is rooted in creating a safe and supportive environment where you can explore your thoughts and feelings without judgment.

I bring a unique, authentic perspective to therapy because I’ve lived through many of the challenges you might be facing. As a “spoonie” who has navigated chronic invisible illnesses, I know how these conditions can impact self-confidence, relationships, and overall quality of life. I’ve walked the path of pain, grief, and eventually, acceptance—turning pain into purpose.
In my practice I utilize practical and research driven tools such as the PsychFlex app and incorporate it into my practice for better client outcomes. Through PsychFlex I’m able to send you videos, exercises, and resources tailored to your needs and interest to support you outside of your session. PsychFlex offers MindGrapher, developed in collaboration with the Scientific Advisory Board (SAB). MindGrapher makes use of the most up to date assessments and is well validated to assess processes of change in psychological interventions. Our sessions will be grounded in evidence-based therapies like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness, and Motivational Interviewing (MI) while also incorporating technology (APPS, Client Portal, Scribe) tailored to meet your unique goals. My goal is to help you find healing, hope, and reclaim your life. Whether you’re struggling with the emotional toll of chronic illness or seeking to improve intimacy, I’m here to guide you.

ASSESSMENT TREATMENT PLANNING
In our first get-together, let's chat and get to know each other. Share why you're thinking of therapy, and we'll dive into your current struggles, past experiences, and what you're aiming for personally. This helps me tailor a treatment plan just for you.
After our first chat, we'll team up to figure out our game plan. We'll set our therapy goals, decide how often we'll meet, and pick the techniques that suit you best. I'll also give you the lowdown on how our sessions usually roll, so you know what's coming your way. Looking forward to it!

THERAPY SESSIONS (VIRTUAL & IN-PERSON)
In our therapy sessions, we will collaborate to identify behavioral and thought patterns that may be influencing your challenges. We'll delve into your emotions within a supportive and non-judgmental atmosphere. I'll apply a range of evidence-based techniques to assist you in developing skills and strategies to effectively cope with your challenges and work towards achieving your goals.
We will collaboratively use research based tools such as PsychFlex and MindGrapher to ensure movement towards your goals. Telehealth is an easy click and join system to remove barriers and to expand Seeds of Hope’s reach to women throughout North Carolina who are ready to get unstuck.

REGULAR PROGRESS REVIEW
In our sessions, we'll consistently review and assess the progress we're making toward your goals. This ongoing evaluation ensures that we can tweak our plan as necessary, guaranteeing you get the utmost benefit from our therapy sessions. Your feedback is invaluable to me—I welcome it warmly. It guides me in refining my approach to better suit your needs and preferences.
Seeds of Hope counseling clients have access to PsychFlex where they can access a library of videos, psych, education, tools, and the MindGrapher assessment tool. Not only will you feel like things have changed but you will actually see the empirical evidence that YES indeed things are changing. From there we can focus on areas that are stalled while celebrating all the places you’re now unstuck from!

GRADUATION & BEYOND
In our sessions, we'll consistently review and assess progress towards your goals. This ensures that our plan remains effective and tailored to your evolving needs. Your feedback is crucial, shaping my approach to better suit your preferences.
Additionally, consider coaching as an excellent aftercare option. Seeds of Hope Counseling's sister Company, Soulshine Coaching, coming soon, will offer signature virtual coaching programs and courses. When you feel you've achieved your desired progress and are ready to conclude therapy, we'll collaborate on a plan for maintaining your gains and fostering ongoing personal growth. I'll equip you with resources and support to ensure your continued thriving beyond our therapy sessions.

My specialization is women’s mental health specifically treating anxiety, life transitions, self defeating mindsets, and chronic illness. Simply said…if you’re feeling stuck and ready for real change then I’m your gal! If you're quirky, awkward, or just feeling a bit unsure, consider this your shelter. As an INFJ and Highly Sensitive Person, I deeply understand the introverted mind. A staunch advocate for diversity, I wholeheartedly affirm LGBTQ+ clients and families. While I do not offer traditional 'couples therapy’ partners and family members are more than welcome to join as it can be very helpful for them to take part in learning how to best support your journey towards wellness. This can be especially true with my client’s who are living in chronic illness who’s life partners are unsure how to best be supportive.

This space isn't ideal for those who aren't ready to dedicate themselves to progress, unable to attend sessions as scheduled, or solely seeking a space to vent without a commitment to transformative work. Additionally, I’m not a good fit if your care requires crisis counseling. Crisis counseling is not offered but I will provide you with crisis support information in your intake packet once your first appointment is scheduled. I am also happy to help you reach crisis support during standard business hours (9:00 AM – 6:00 PM EST). I often keep a waitlist, therefore I want to invite only the women who are ready to show up for themselves with intentionality. No judgement here because I’ve been there…knowing something may be a problem but at the same time it wasn’t enough of a problem yet. When I was almost 300lbs my doctors and family were rightfully concerned about my health and wellness and I wanted to be ready but at that time I would smile at my doctor nodding my head knowing in my soul I wasn’t ready to face my fears and insecurities yet. That time did come and knowing my WHY gave me the motivation to loose over 130lbs and keep it off. We’re simply not ready until we’re ready right? My practice is not ideal if you need lots of flexibility in scheduling such as ability to reschedule with less than 24 hours notice. This can be important when you have a job that requires you to be on call or have flexible availability for overtime. Online therapy platforms such as Betterhelp or Talkspace may be a better fit. SOHC offers appointments Tuesday-Friday 8AM - Noon only with Tuesday designated for telehealth. We are not a great match if you need afternoon or evening options.
